Entrelacs is a family story driven by a love of materials. Yves and Paul Macheret took over their father's art foundry in 2015. The latter was already renowned for its bespoke bronze pieces. The two brothers subsequently created Entrelacs to contribute to the Foundry's development. The brand is based on the family's expertise in finished bronze products.
The Entrelacs pieces thus represent the "intertwining" of the Foundry's talents. Moulder, caster, chaser, polisher... each of these trades is involved in the making of an Entrelacs edition. As craftsmen and manufacturers, the Macherets also focus on simplicity of form as a tribute to the material.
