Artemide

Artemide

Founded in 1960, Artemide is one of the world's leading lighting brands.
Known for its philosophy "The Human Light", Artemide is nowadays synonymous with design, competence in the project of light and innovation with its products that are the expression of research and high quality manufacturing.

Many patents have been recognized over the years for the technological, mechanical and optoelectronic innovations made (10 filed in 2016 alone). Artemide has contributed to the history of international design with luminaires such as Eclisse (1967, Vico Magistretti), Tolomeo (1989, Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina), Pipe (2004, Herzog & De Meuron) and IN-EI Collection (2014, Issey Miyake), all of which were awarded the "Compasso d'Oro" prize. In 1994 Artemide received the "Compasso d'Oro for its career" award, the prestigious European Design Award in 1997 and the Leonardo Qualità Italia 2012 Award in 2013. Artemide lamps are considered internationally as icons of contemporary design: they are presented in most modern art museums and design collections in the world.
